the pioneer home on main street.

leaving our cute little pioneer home where we had started off our life together was HARD! two months later i honestly still miss it! we weren't planning on moving, but dawson's brother bought a new home and suggested we buy theirs. while we definitely could have made our little pioneer home work for a few more years, this one had a lot more room and was in a quieter neighborhood (we were on main street). we decided that if we could sell our home for the right price that we could still comfortably afford the move, that we would do it. it only took two months to sell. while we're glad for some more space and to be in such a nice neighborhood, we will always miss the character of our first home and the ward we moved from! they were amazing!

we bought this home right before getting married and spent some time nonstop scraping wallpaper and painting. we were also able to redo some of the flooring and move our stuff in, having a home to come home to from our honey moon. some of the things we loved about this home was the rock exterior, the large yard (1/3 of an acre), the spacious rooms (most of them), the unique layout with no hallways, the thick doorways and window frames, the window sills, the gardens, and the huge garage. i'm so grateful for this gorgeous little place we were able to spend the first (almost) three years of our marriage.
