the last couple of months have been very eventful! i can't believe my baby girl is 6 months old! she is sitting like a pro, eating solids, can roll from front to back, scoot backward on her back, make all sorts of fun noises and sounds, laughs and smiles, and grabs everything and tries to put it in her mouth. she got a lot of fun tactical toys for Christmas. she loves the dogs and her favorite time of the day is when dad comes home. she is 14 lb 10 oz and 20th percentile for weight, 24 1/4 inches and 14th percentile for height, and has a 44 cm head circumference and is in the 88th percentile for head circumference! she has a huge head for her huge brain! she is very smart, strong, sweet, talkative, and active. she has a tooth that is close to breaking through.
adventures the past couple months include dressing up as an ewok for halloween, eating oatmeal cereal and baby food, thanksgiving with my family and st george that weekend with the Lakes, both mom and dad GRADUATING, numerous family parties, cousin Kendal sleeping over, numerous family and friend parties, and Christmas. Gracie is the light of our life and so fun!
This has been a very BIG year for our LITTLE family! The biggest thing, was of course, Gracie being born. She has made this year the best year of my life. Becoming a parent with your best friend is an incredible thing. In 2014 I also started working as a nurse, precepted on the NTU at Primary Children's, and finished my RN program. Dawson got his bachelor's degree in New Media Communications and became a Platinum salesman at his work! I can't help but reminisce on the little things we did, like our Valentine's skiing getaway, playing Settler's of Catan like 6 weekends in a row, eating at Anasazi grill and watching the sunset in Snow Canyon for our anniversary, and our day trip to Bear Lake. Our extended families also had some big changes with Kody graduating high school, Kason getting home from his mission, my mom moving homes, and baby Finn being born. We had some very difficult times too of course, but we made it through and it has been an incredible year for us! We are looking forward to many things in 2015, like me finally getting my bachelor's degree, going to Cabo for Dawson's platinum work trip, going on a cruise with my dad and siblings, and enjoying our little girl as she is constantly growing and changing!
The family pictures in this post were taken by M.K. Nash Photography, and the food picture, graduation pictures, and picture of Gracie under the tree were taken by my husband...he is becoming quite the photographer!
