i deleted a few unneeded pictures from my old blog and my picture posting problem is postponed. that was some fine alliteration if i do say so myself.
i've caught the craft bug. i never thought i would grow up and enjoy making crafts, like my grandma.

[love you grandma, and i admire your crafts. just never thought i'd like doing that kind of stuff...]
well i made a tree skirt! i got this idea from madison because we were going to make them together but then never did. but why was this tree skirt perfect for me? because i CAN'T SEW.
no-sew ruffle tree skirt.
no-sew ruffle tree skirt.
you need:
*4.5 X 4.5 canvas [i used a 5X5 painter's drop cloth]
*3-4 yards of linen, mine was cotton
*some extra ribbon
*scissors, measuring tape, a glue gun, and a ton of patience
the tutorial i used is here.
you just cut the canvas into your tree skirt shape, cut the linen into 2" strips, and ruffle the linen in layers as you glue it to the canvas. and wa-la!
you're actually supposed to fill the whole canvas, but we thought it was fun to have it half full and two-toned.
i guess i like doing crafts now because i have a place of my own to take care of and decorate.
and i loooove decorating for christmas!!!

i enjoyed my first lake family bingo on saturday. dawson and his cousins have been talking this thing up pretty much since i've known him, and i wasn't disappointed! i didn't go last year because dawson still thought it might have been too soon...that's how serious this business is.

wasn't doing too well at first...but we both ended up bringing home some treasures!
and the lds christmas devotional tonight...good stuff. so blessed.
